I am Yunying (James) Huang (黄云鹰), a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Gabelli School of Business, Fordham University. I received my PhD in Finance from the University of Sydney Business School in 2025.

My research fields are empirical corporate finance, banking, and deep learning and generative AI in finance. My research topics include corporate innovation, financial networks, bank loans, capital structure, competition and government procurement, financial regulation, generative AI adoption, large language models, agentic AI, and textual analysis.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Statistics and Finance (First Class Honours, 2019) from the University of Sydney. Before the PhD, I was an investment banking analyst at Guotai Junan Securities (now Guotai Haitong Securities) and a visiting researcher in machine learning at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
